Communication Through Texture

Issey Miyake is another artist that has demonstrated the process of innovation throughout her Art. The above photograph is a unique garment that Miyake has composed by constructing a variety of medias that no one has worked with before. This demonstrates the concept of innovation used within Fashion Design. The medias that Miyake used consists of:
  • A variety of plastics
  • Paper
  • Card
  • Wool
  • Fleece
  • Chiffon
  • Usual Fabrics that allow ultimate stretching to be possible.
  • Wire

This quote demonstrates my prior research into textures expressing deeper meanings. Yohji Yomomota and his concepts of Innovation using textures.
