Exploring Movement within the Fashion and how to capture the process

Alexander McQueen SS 1999 Shalom Harlow working fashion history. Alexander McQueen's has explored the concept of composing a garment by introducing the freedom of movement into the process of constructing the dress. This idea of using a spontaneous method to produce a unique bespoke piece has inspired me to explore more sewing techniques that create a unique spontaneous garment.

This  last video clip demonstrates a fashion designer who has interpreted movement into the fabric of the garment allowing specific areas of a dress to become sensitive and pick up movement from the body. This has inspired to use sensory pads on my designs allowing the movement of the body to equal a specific verbal emotion.

I then discovered another initial idea to show the movement of the body through certain positions the body holds when still. The video above demonstrates the concept of spraying a material on to a body to create a unique garment within minutes. This has inspired me to start to develop ideas and concepts of how fabric itself can portray communication by its structure.
